Women's Hoops Edges Out OU-Lancaster 55-52

LANCASTER, OH - The Lady Trailblazers headed east to Lancaster, Ohio on Friday night to take on a resiliant Ohio University branch campus squad.  The Blazers edged out the host Cougars 55-52 in what proved to be a nailbiter.

OCU overcame early shooting woes in the first half and creeped ahead in the second half behind the strong effort of Asia Woodson.  Woodson scored a game high 24 points in a gritty performance.

The win was the third this week for OCU who has knocked off three straight local rivals in Valor Christian, Columbus State, and now OU-Lancaster.  

The Trailblazers now stand at 13-10 on the season heading into their much anticipated matchup with the defending NCCAA Champions from Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday night.  The game is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start.
