GRAND RAPIDS, MI - After 83 minutes of scoreless soccer, the OCU Trailblazers rallied past Northland behind the foot of Cathy Burcham. Burcham found the back of the net as she scored her 1st career goal with only 7 minutes remaining, breaking a 0-0 tie and lifting the Blazers to victory.
The win over Northland is the first ever for the OCU women.
"We made some roster adjustments before the game to try and find a spark. I believe we found it," commented OCU Head Coach Josh Murton. "If any team ever needed a win like this, our women certainly did. I haven't seen them compete like this in a long while and it gives us hope for the rest of the season!"
OCU is back in action on October 19th when they take on Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee.
