OCU Women Fall Short in Final

On a mud soaked field, the OCU women's soccer program made it to the regional finals, a mark that was hard to fathom 10 months ago.  As fate would have it, that would be where their inaugural season would end and in dramatic fashion.  The women lost 0-1 in double overtime to Kentucky Christian University.  "We were so close to finishing off KCU, but a crossbar and a few missed opportunities kept us home for November" mentioned Coach Murton on not going to the National Tournament on November 14th.  "These women put everything they had into this team.  They gave OCU everything they had, and I can not be more proud to be their coach" elaborated Coach Murton.

The loss left OCU with a 3-4-1 record, but with high hopes in the future.  "Since it was our first year, we only scheduled a few games.  Now that we have had some early success, we will be looking to load up our schedule and take this program to the next level" said Coach Murton.  "If you told me we would be here today, 10 months ago, I would have not believed it.  But we have accomplished so much" added Kim Uetrecht, an OCU player.
