Saha Hat Trick Fuels 4-2 Win at NAIA Berea College

BEREA, KY - The Ohio Christian women's soccer team traveled south to Kentucky on Friday afternoon to take on NAIA affiliate, Berea College.  The Trailblazers came into the game looking for their first win of the season.  The matchup would prove to be an exciting contest with several big momentum swings throughout.

Ohio Christian came out swinging and took momentum early as freshman Karissa Saultz scored from 18 yeards out in the 17th minute of action to take a 1-0 advantage.  OCU followed that up with another goal from Katie Saha as she connected on a goal from 15 yards just ten minutes later.  The Trailblazer defense held tight in the first half as OCU would head into the intermission with a 2-0 lead.

Berea regrouped in the second half and made a rally as they scored a goal 12 minutes into the 2nd half to get within one.  Berea continued their surge with a second goal just 14 minutes later to tie the score at 2-2.

With the game knotted up at 2-2 and momentum swinging in favor of Berea, the Trailblazers stormed back.  With just six minutes remaining, and the score tied, Katie Saha found the back of the net for a 2nd time to give OCU a 3-2 lead.  Saha then put the game out of reach for good with just over a minute remaining as she connected for her third goal of the contest.

Ohio Christian moves to 1-2 on the young season and will look to get to the .500 mark on Saturday at 1pm as they take on Grace Bible College at home.
