All-Conference Pitcher Ashlie Kindle from Ada High School Inks with OCU

CIRCLEVILLE, OHAshlie Kindle of Ada High School in Ada, OH recently signed her letter of intent to continue her fastpitch softball career as a Trailblazer at Ohio Christian University. During her career at Ada HS, Ashlie has posted a 17-3 record with a 2.53 ERA with 5 shutouts and 1 save in 210 innings pitched. She has posted a career .438 batting average in 104 at bats with 54 hits, 16 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 30 runs scored and 44 RBI’s. Ashlie has been selected as the Ada High School Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year and a Scholar Athlete for 2009, 2010, and 2011.  In 2011 she was selected as a 2nd Team All-Northwest Conference honoree.

Off the field Ashlie is very involved in her local church. She enjoys working with children and youth. She also enjoys going on mission trips and helping others.

“We are very excited to be able to welcome a young lady like Ashlie to our program,” said OCU Head Softball Coach Emory Clark. “She is not only a solid athlete who will contribute to the success of our team on the field, but she is a great young lady who will fit in well with the team culture we are working to cultivate. She has come to campus and spent some time with our girls and they all really seem to like her a lot. I look forward to having Ashlie as a Trailblazer.”
