OCU Battles to the End vs KCU

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - In front of a energized home crowd, the OCU Women's Volleyball Team had a strong showing against the 4th ranked Knights of Kentucky Christian on Tuesday night.

Ohio jumped out of the gate with a tenacious effort in set #1.  The Blazers led 15-10 and thwarted a late rally by the Knights following a timeout.  OCU would close the door on the Knights in game one, going on to win 25-16 behind the support of an enthusiastic student section.  

Set #2 and #3 were close throughout.  KCU erased a 5 point deficit after trailing 14-9 at one point to steal momentum and take a 2-1 advantage in the contest after winning back to back sets.

The Blazers came to play in the 4th set.  The Knights pulled ahead of OCU late in the set to take a 22-19 lead.  The Blazers reeled off three straight points to and were able to tie the game at 23-23.  The regional champions came through with the final two points to steal a dramatic 4th and final set to win the match 3-1.

OCU is back in action on Friday night when they take on Appalachian Bible College at home at 7:00 PM.
