OCU Volleyball Wins 4th Straight

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - OCU Volleyball is officially on fire.  The Blazers racked up their 4th straight win on Saturday, defeating the visitors from Johnson University in four games.

After losing their season opener at UC-Clermont, Ohio Christian has righted the ship, racking up solid wins vs OU-Chillicothe, Crown College (TN), Appalachian, and now Johnson University.

After OCU won games 1 and 2 by wide margins, Johnson rallied to win game 3 by a score of 25-22.  The Trailblazers answered back and closed the door on the rally by winning game 4 by a score of 25-13 to take the match.

The Blazers were led by Katy Helmuth with a career high 15 kills.  Danielle Wipert added 13 kills and 29 digs in the win.  Mary Ashbaucher was solid with a game high 38 assists.

The Blazers are now 4-1 on the season and will look to win a 5th straight at OU-Lancaster on Tuesday at 6:00 PM.
