OCU Volleyball Wins 5th Straight

LANCASTER, OH - OCU Volleyball extended their winning streak to 5 games on Tuesday night. The Trailblazers defeated the host Cougars of Ohio University Lancaster, sweeping the match 3 games to 0.
Ohio Christian came away with game one by a score of 25-16. OU-Lancaster stormed back in game two, pushing OCU to the brink before the Blazers rallied to win 26-24. The Blazers slammed the door on OUL in game 3, winning 25-18 to claim their 5th straight victory.
Danielle Wipert led OCU with 14 kills in the match. Mary Ashbaucher tallied 25 assists and 7 digs in the win. Olivia Davis led the front line with 3 blocks while Rachel Briggs added 4 block assists for OCU.
The Blazers (5-1) will now head to Washington D.C. to compete in the Catholic University Volleyball Tournament. OCU goes into the game currently ranked 7th in the NCCAA according to power rating.
