Volleyball Comes Up Short In First Match vs KCU

GRAYSON, KY - Ohio Christian (7-4) headed south to Kentucky to take on defending regional champion, Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday night.  The Blazers came into the game tied with the Knights for 1st place in the Mid-East Region.

KCU won the first game in a tough defensive battle 25-18. The Trailblazers' offense rebounded in the second set, but the Lady Knights pulled out the win 25-20. Both teams fought hard throughout the third match, with KCU winning the final game at 25-16 to take the match.  The Blazers played close in two of the three games on the road.  

With the win, the Knights will claim sole possession of first place in the region.  OCU will have an opportunity to even the score on October 16th when the Knights visit Circleville, Ohio.  The Blazers took the Knights to five games at home last season in front of a enthusiastic OCU crowd.
