Women's Volleyball Goes All Out vs KCU

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU women's volleyball team faced defending region champion Kentucky Christian on Tuesday night and gave them all they could handle in the first two games.  The OCU fans showed up big for the home team as they energized the Maxwell Leadership Center.  The Trailblazers enjoyed a stellar performance before eventually succumbing in three games to the Knights.

Game 1 was a great opener as both teams fought back and forth.  The Trailblazers led early 6-5 and worked hard to keep even with KCU at 19-19.  KCU rallied back down the stretch to win a close contest by a score of 25-22.

Game 2 proved to be the most intense of the match as OCU and KCU took the game to another level.  Both teams went back and forth with several ties and lead changes throughout.  After trailing 21-19 and 20-22, the Trailblazers battled back to tie the score at 24-24.  KCU regrouped and overcame the energized home crowd to pull out a narrow 26-24 victory.  The defending champs would go on to win game 3 to close the door on the valiant OCU effort.

OCU is back in action this Friday and Saturday when they host the Trailblazer Classic.  Berea College, St. Catharine, Central Bible College (MO), Cedarville University, Rochester College, and OCU will be competing in the two day event.  Ohio Christian will be playing in pool play on Friday at 4:00PM and 8:00PM.  The game times on Saturday are pending the results from Friday's matches.  Saturday will be double elimination.
