Women's Volleyball Wins Third Straight

BECKLEY, WV - The OCU women's volleyball team continued their hot streak on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 sweep of Mid-East Region rival Appalachian Bible College.  The Trailblazers played their third match in three days and came away with their third straight win.  All three wins were 3-0 sweeps as OCU rolled past Freewill Baptist on Thursday, OU-Chillicothe on Friday, and Appalachian on Saturday.

The match was never in jeopardy as OCU led throughout.  After winning game 1 by a score of 25-11, the Trailblazers won by a wide margin in game 2 with a score of 25-14.  The Blazers closed the door on the 3-0 sweep as they won game 3 by a score of 25-11.

The win completed the season sweep of Appalachian after OCU defeated them 3-0 back on September 17th at home.  The victory was the 15th match that OCU has won this season with two matches left to play until the postseason tournaments for the OCAC and NCCAA.  The Trailblazers are back in action on Saturday, October 15th when they travel to Batavia, Ohio to take on UC-Clermont in a 1:00PM match,.
