Women's Volleyball Wins Trio of Matches Over the Weekend

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The OCU Women's Volleyball team hosted the OCU Invitational Tournament on Friday and Saturday and came away with three big wins.  The two day tournament featured teams from Berea College, Central Bible College. St. Catharine College, Cedarville University, and Rochester College.

The Trailblazers fell 3-0 in two matches against NAIA affiliate St. Catharine College and perennial power, Rochester College.  The two matches against higher level competition will make OCU better as Coach Hopewell wanted to strengthen their non-conference schedule through this invitational.

The weekend had it's share of success as well as Ohio Christian swept a pair of matches from NAIA affiliate, Berea College from Kentucky.  In the pool play against Berea on Saturday and in the tournament round on Saturday, OCU came away with a pair of 3-0 sweeps in both matches versus Berea.

Ohio Christian also took on a fellow NCCAA Division II member when it took the court against Centrail Bible College.  The Trailblazers were in control of the match from the outset and came away with a convincing 3-0 win.

The three wins were good enough for OCU to take 4th place in the tournament.  St. Catharine College and Rochester College faced off in the championship match on Saturday with St. Catharine coming away victorious.
