Business: Pre-Law Specialization
The business major is designed to prepare students to serve in society and the church. This major is structured to provide the student with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage an organization in the twenty-first century. The major will culminate with an internship that provides the student an opportunity to apply management principles.
Objectives
Upon completion of the business major the student should:
- Demonstrate management concepts in an existing business.
- Evaluate a business idea and develop a business plan.
- Analyze a business operation and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Apply legal principles to a business issue to determine the appropriate direction and whether legal counsel may be required.
Students must have a US High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 50 semester credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning. Students with fewer than 50 semester hours may apply to an Associate of Arts program to complete this requirement.
General Education Core=48 hours
Religion Core=19 hours
When the student has declared a specific business track, a minimum of 12 hours of electives within the given track must be completed.
Students desiring a Pre-Law Specialization must complete 9 hours from the Business Management Track and 9 hours from the following courses: Internation Law (3 Cred. Hrs), Constitutional Law (3 Cred. Hrs), Business Law II (3 Cred. Hrs), or American Political Systems (3 Cred. Hrs).
