Lady Blazers Win Season Opener

The OCU women's basketball team started off slow on Friday night, but used a late run in the first half to take a 45-33 lead.  In the second half, it was more of the same, as the Lady Blazers' defense held Grace Bible College to only ten points, forcing 45 turnovers for the game.  OCU was led by sophomore guard Shelby Roe with 17 points.  Sophomore point guard Courtney Schilling had 4 steals, 13 points on 6 of 7 shooting, and dished out 3 assists.  Freshmen Sharonda Jones and Kaity Wyeth added 10 points each as well.

The Lady Blazers face Valley Forge Christian College on Saturday at 2pm in the second game of their Tip-off Classic.
