Lady Trailblazers Win a Nail-Biter

The Lady Blazers extended their home game winning streak to fifteen on Saturday when they defeated Valley Forge Christian College 72-71 in a thriller.  Three freshmen scored in double-figures for OCU, including Kendra Blair with 13, and Kaity Wyeth and Sharonda Jones with 12 points each.  Angela Thorne led OCU on the boards, pulling down 10 rebounds, while Danielle Fleming led the Lady Blazers on the defensive end with 3 steals.

OCU pulled out to a 7-9 point lead a few times throughout the game, but the Lady Patriots from Valley Forge never quit.  They went on runs of their own to bring the score back within reach each time, but the Lady Blazers were able to hold on in the final seconds to get the victory.

The Lady Trailblazers travel to Cincinnati Christian for a tournament Nov 12-13 for their first road games of the season.
