Ohio Christian University Softball Signs First Recruit for 2011 Recruiting Class
The Ohio Christian University Trailblazer softball program is pleased to announce the signing of their first recruit from the 2011 recruiting class. On Friday, January 14, 2011 Audrey Chattos, a Senior at Amanda-Clearcreek High school, signed her letter of intent to attend Ohio Christian University and to play softball for the Trailblazers beginning in the fall of 2011.
Audrey, a catcher and 1st basemen at Amanda, and has received numerous awards and accolades including Mid-State League, County, and District honors for her performance and sportsmanship. Audrey has proved to be a proficient hitter by batting an average of .400 throughout her high school career. Along with her hard work on the field Audrey has also worked hard in the classroom. She has been on the Honor Roll all four years of high school and is a member of Amanda Clearcreek's National Honor Society. Audrey plans to major in Business Administration and minor in Coaching and Coaching Skills. Audrey would like to work with other prospective students and athletes considering Ohio Christian University and plans to pursue a career as a softball coach after she graduates from Ohio Christian University. Audrey says she chose to attend OCU, because she feels that OCU is where she has the best opportunity to change people's lives, and to spread the word of God.
"I watched Audrey play several times this past year. I am very excited abut what she brings to our program," said Emory Clark, Head Softball Coach. "Audrey brings a good bat on offense and a solid defense game either behind the plate or at first base. Audrey's personality, attitude and personal character will help her fit in well with our softball program."
