OCU Pulls Out Five Set Win

Ohio Christian defeated the OSU-Mansfield Mavericks with scores of 25-20, 8-25, 22-25, 25-16, 15-7.

Sophomore Linette Shetler and Freshmen Ashley Southard led the team offensively with 11 kills a piece. Ashley had a season high 5 aces. Freshman Tiffany Mosher and Linette Shetler led the defense with 20 and 14 digs respectively.

"We played solid in the first set, then let up until the fourth," said Coach Wes Brothers. "The team was able to find openings on offense and kept serving aggressively and these made the difference in the match."

Ohio Christian University Women's Volleyball has an overall record of 4-5. OCU is 2-3 in the NCCAA Mid-East Region and has a record of 1-2 in the OCAC.

Ohio Christian Volleyball's hosts the Trailblazer Classic Tournament which is open to the public this weekend. The Tournament starts at 5 pm Friday, September 24th and continues with a start time on Saturday, September 25th of 9 am.
