Sarah Johnson Becomes First Licensed OCU Teacher Education Graduate

On June 23rd, 2010, Sarah Johnson became the first graduate of the Ohio Christian University’s Teacher Education program to achieve state licensure.

Sarah graduated with honors (valedictorian) and applied for licensure by the state of Ohio.  As a result of ODE approval in May 2009, and TEAC conditional approval in 2010, OCU students are now eligible for state licensure and are prepared to teach in both the public and private school sector.

Sarah deserves our congratulations on a job well done!  Nearly 300 hours of field experience, over 525 hours of student teaching, and passing Praxis II exams have paid off!  As our first TE grad to receive licensure, we celebrate her achievement.
