Move In / Alpha Week

At Ohio Christian University, our incoming students experience the Trailblazer family right away during Move-In. Our student leaders help move our new students into the dorms and assist families in any way they can—from carrying mini-fridges to dorm rooms, lofting beds, or just answering questions. Our students then get to experience Alpha Week, where they have a full schedule of activities to help them acclimate to OCU life. These activities include game show nights, outdoor events, movie nights, and more.

Student Activities

Throughout the year, OCU’s Student Involvement Council (SIC) organizes a variety of fun events that allow students to de-stress, ranging from our Fall Fest with campfires, costume contests, and hayrides to our formal Mr. and Miss event with hor’doeuvres and live entertainment. Whether it’s cheering on performers at Film Fest or cheering on cast members at Friday Night Live, our OCU students find a way to come together and enjoy community on campus.

Worship and Music Events

Our student body often comes together as a spiritual community to enjoy worship nights full of music, fellowship, and God’s Word. Whether it’s student testimonies, a full worship set, or a casual outdoor gathering, our students always make time to encourage one another in their faith.

Community Outreach

At OCU, we believe it’s a crucial element of our faith to serve others and give back to our community. Our students, faculty, and staff participate in our Community Action Day or Church Service Day once a semester and take time to do service projects for residents, local schools, public organizations, and churches. We also host a variety of other community events like our annual Christmas production, Festival of Carols, where we invite the community in to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

Homecoming/Commencement

One of the best parts about being a Trailblazer is that you’re always a Trailblazer! While our students anxiously await Commencement as the capstone of their academic journey at OCU, we know we’ll see them again. We invite our alumni back to our Homecoming events each year to gather once again as an OCU family.
