To make a schedule change, send an email request to Online Academic Advising.

Guidelines

  • Online students may
    • Drop a course until the class has begun.
    • Withdraw from a course with a grade of W until the last day of the course as noted in SONIS.
  • Once the semester has begun, a drop fee is assessed.

Circleville Campus

To make a schedule change, complete the Change of Schedule form.

How do schedule changes impact my Transcript and GPA?

  • Dropped courses are removed from the academic transcript.
  • Withdrawn courses remain on the student's transcript.
    • A grade of W is assigned until the last day to withdraw with a W
    • After that day, instructors assign either WP or WF
    • W and WP grades have no effect on a student’s GPA
    • The WF grade is equivalent to an F

How do schedule changes impact my Financial Aid?

If dropping courses impacts a student’s completion rate or GPA, the result can affect financial aid. For information see Satisfactory Academic Progress in the Financial Aid section of the Academic Catalog.

How do schedule changes affect my bill?

Students are responsible for charges resulting from schedule changes.

  • Some changes result in a refund. 
  • Adding a course may result in additional charges.
  • Dropping or withdrawing from a course may result in the loss of financial aid.
  • Because of potential impact on a student’s account, some changes require Financial Aid approval.
