Relive the childhood classic of Peter Pan with a trip to Neverland where Peter and Wendy navigate the thrills and dangers of fighting pirates, appeasing Tinkerbell, rallying the Lost Boys and avoiding adulthood. Peter must avoid the clutches of the infamous Captain Hook and find a way to return Wendy home.

Aida:

An enslaved Nubian princess, Aida, finds her heart entangled with Radames, an Egyptian soldier who is betrothed to the Pharaoh's daughter, Amneris. As their forbidden love blossoms, Aida is forced to weigh her heart against the responsibility that she faces as the leader of her people.

Performance Dates: March 31st 2023 at 7:00 PM and April 1st 2023 at 2:00 PM

About OCU Drama Team Productions:

The Ohio Christian University Drama Team is a student-led ministry with the mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the arts. Our services are customizable, ranging from 30-60 minutes in length and include a variety of sketches, with some of our most popular being "The Old Testament in 10 Minutes," "Bad Ways to Witness," and "When Anxiety Attacks."

Based on your group's preference, the OCU Drama Team can incorporate these options into your special service:

  • Spoken Word
  • Comedic/Dramatic Sketches
  • Musical Dramatizations
  • Testimonies 
  • Scripture Reading 

As a courtesy to your group, the OCU Drama Team is a FREE service, although donations are gladly accepted.

First Musical Theater Performance a Success

Ohio Christian University closed on their first musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Saturday, April 9th and the OCU family couldn’t be prouder of the cast, crew, patrons, and supporters. Drama Team Wraps Up Fall Season with Dark Road

Ohio Christian University’s Drama Team closed on this year’s fall production of Dark Road, written by Laura Lundgren Smith, on Friday, Nov. 12th. With almost 200 audience members in attendance, including many OCU staff, faculty, and students, the cast was grateful to have such a supportive audience. Elly Diehl, a sophomore this year at OCU, played the lead character, Greta, who drives the plot of the play. By retelling the decisions that led her to become a brutal concentration camp guard, Greta reveals the deep psychological break that occurs when people normalize atrocities.

Drama Team Presents Fall Production: Dark Road

Ohio Christian University’s Drama Team is honored to present this year’s fall production, Dark Road, written by Laura Lundgren Smith, on Friday, Nov. 12th at 7:00 PM in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center’s auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.  This play may not be suitable for some younger audiences who may find the subject matter disturbing.  Parental discretion is advised. The play focuses on the story of a female concentration camp guard, Greta, who has been given a death sentence for her crimes committed under the Nazi regime. Given one last chance to tell

Ohio Christian University is excited about launching a new semester of the drama ministry travel team, Living Parables.  This group is made up of 14 residential undergraduate students (two teams), including the Student Leaders Brittany Twining and Haley Fowler. The group is under the direction of Mrs. Bethany Bolin, who is a graduate of OCU and possesses many years of teaching and leading drama.   Living Parables ministers in churches, schools and youth events presenting sketches of real-life circumstances which focus on the gospel as well as moral values.

CHILLICOTHE - The fair board took a gamble that appeared to pay off. Thursday night's concert at the Ross County Fair was something the fair board had never tried before. With the help of Ohio Christian University, it brought two contemporary Christian bands, OCU's Ablaze and headliner Tenth Avenue North, to the grandstand. The grandstand was packed with more than 500 people of all ages cheering, clapping and even at times dancing along to the music.
