Aida:

An enslaved Nubian princess, Aida, finds her heart entangled with Radames, an Egyptian soldier who is betrothed to the Pharaoh's daughter, Amneris. As their forbidden love blossoms, Aida is forced to weigh her heart against the responsibility that she faces as the leader of her people.

Running time: Approximately 150 minutes
Children 2 and under who will be seated on the lap of an adult are free.
This show features moving lights and haze.

The Ohio Christian University Drama Team is a student-led ministry with the mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the arts. Our services are customizable, ranging from 30-60 minutes in length and include a variety of sketches, with some of our most popular being "The Old Testament in 10 Minutes," "Bad Ways to Witness," and "When Anxiety Attacks."

Based on your group's preference, the OCU Drama Team can incorporate these options into your special service:

Peter Pan Record-Breaking Production

Ohio Christian University closed on their production, Peter Pan, Saturday, November 5th, and it was a record-breaking fall show for the OCU performing arts team. With 585 tickets sold, this magical show brought in lots of families and audience members of all ages. Needless to say, it was a big hit with the youngest members in the audience as they were transported to Neverland. Some even came to the show in their own costumes! First Musical Theater Performance a Success

Ohio Christian University closed on their first musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Saturday, April 9th and the OCU family couldn’t be prouder of the cast, crew, patrons, and supporters. With about 800 tickets sold, the first OCU musical production brought in families and community members, with a special dessert reception by Hallmark in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center lobby for opening night. Drama Team Wraps Up Fall Season with Dark Road

Ohio Christian University’s Drama Team closed on this year’s fall production of Dark Road, written by Laura Lundgren Smith, on Friday, Nov. 12th. With almost 200 audience members in attendance, including many OCU staff, faculty, and students, the cast was grateful to have such a supportive audience. Elly Diehl, a sophomore this year at OCU, played the lead character, Greta, who drives the plot of the play. By retelling the decisions that led her to become a brutal concentration camp guard, Greta reveals the deep psychological break that occurs when people normalize atrocities.

Drama Team Presents Fall Production: Dark Road

Ohio Christian University’s Drama Team is honored to present this year’s fall production, Dark Road, written by Laura Lundgren Smith, on Friday, Nov. 12th at 7:00 PM in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center’s auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.  This play may not be suitable for some younger audiences who may find the subject matter disturbing.  Parental discretion is advised.
