Behind the scenes, behind the curtains of this year’s Festival of Carols,
the perspective is different for the eyes of this observer, who happens to be
part of the creative moment team. The choirs warm their vocal cords until
their voices float in glorious harmonies across the auditorium. The actors
labor in hectic preparation to perform with excellence and seeming
effortlessness.

2018 Festival of Carols' 'Peace on Earth' Theme Shares Global Hope

Ohio Christian University’s 2018 Festival of Carols, performed in the
Ministry and Performing Arts Center, celebrated Christmas with 'Peace on
Earth' music from around the world. Decorations featured the flags, colors,
and music of peoples across the globe, representing all who look to Christ
and His promise of eternal peace.
The Ohio Christian University Orchestra played the celebration's prelude with
George Edge, conducting, to the attendees who filled the spacious, modern
auditorium.
After University President Jon S. Kulaga opened the celebration with a warm
welcome and prayer,

Over 950 Christmas celebrants attended Ohio Christian University’s 2017
Festival of Carols performed for the first time on December 2nd and 3rd in
the University’s new Ministry and Performing Arts Center! In the future,
the Center will be used for the community as well as OCU events.
Produced as a gift to the community, the University Chorale, Chamber Singers,
Circleville Community Choral Society, and Festival Orchestra beautifully
realized this year’s What Can I Give? theme. Instead of focusing on what we
receive in this Christmas season, Dr. Bennett focused on paying forward with

OCU Donates 1,000 Pounds of Collected Food from Festival of Carols

Thanks to the giving hearts and hands of the Circleville community, Ohio
Christian University was able to donate more than 1,000 pounds of collected
food to Pickaway County Community Action – Emergency Clearinghouse.
Four grocery carts filled to overflowing with canned and dry goods will
provide hundreds of local families with much needed food this Christmas
season.
Across the country, one out of five children live in households without
consistent access to adequate food. Twenty-two percent of kids under the ages
of 18 live in poverty in America. Currently, there are more than
