Follow Christ, Lead the Way

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Under the leadership of new head coach Dr. Tim Sykes, the men's and women's cross country program is ready to take to the course this Fall as they look to make strides within the River States Conference.

"After an unusual Spring semester, we are looking forward to competing again this Fall," said Sykes. "We have a lot of training and recovery to do between now and then, but we are optimistic about improvements we can make in both the men's and women's teams not only at the conference level, but also potentially at the national level. We have some key returners along with some good transfers that will add more depth than in recent years past."

As it stands currently, the Trailblazers will open competition on September 11 at the Quaker Early Season Challenge, hosted by Wilmington College. This will mark the first of two trips Ohio Christian will make to Wilmington, as they will return in October for the Wilmington Classic.

Other notable dates on the calendar will be a trip to Indiana University East on September 19th and then a newly added race in Louisville, KY at the Greater Louisville Classic.

Ohio Christian will wrap up the regular season on November 7 at the 2020 River States Conference Championships, where the team will aim to qualify for NAIA Nationals scheduled for November 20th in Cedar Rapids, IA.

"The meets on our schedule that we are the most excited about are the Greater Louisville Classic, NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, and River States Conference Championships, which serves as a NAIA National Championships qualifying meet. Overall, we are thankful for where we are as a team as we move into the next chapter of OCU cross country."

Due to the ever evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, please stay tuned to our website for any scheduling changes that may occur in the coming months.
