Ohio Christian University's ABLAZE student ministry minstrel group will be performing in Indiana, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio on these dates at the following CCCU churches and summer camps, where OCU students are also serving as camp counselors:

June 10:  Community Wesleyan Church, Athens, OH

June 17:  Hartsville Church of Christ, Harstville, IN

June 17:  Chillicothe Paints Baseball Game, Chillicothe, OH (singing the national anthem at 6:05 p.m.)

June 19:  General CCCU Council, Circleville, OH

June 20-23:  Teens of Praise Camp, Circleville, OH

June 24-28:  Bible Camp, Maysville, GA

July 1:  The Grove Level Church, Maysville, GA

July 4-12:  Taylor County Camp, Butler, GA

July 8:  Rock Springs Church, Milner, GA

July 15-21:  Teens in Action Camp, Nipgen, OH

July 21:  Cincinnati Reds Baseball Game, Cincinnati, OH (singing the national anthem)

July 23-27:  Appalachian Youth Camp, Orrstown, PA 

August 3-12:  Roxbury Holiness Camp, Orrstown, PA

 

This music group is comprised of seven talented students and travels the region year-round, bringing its distinctive sound to churches, summer camps, youth events and more.

Ohio Christian University’s 2018 Festival of Carols, performed in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center, celebrated Christmas with 'Peace on Earth' music from around the world. Decorations featured the flags, colors, and music of peoples across the globe, representing all who look to Christ and His promise of eternal peace. Ohio Christian University's Maxwell Center parking lot was filled with hundreds of smiling Trunk-or-Treaters on October 23 as the University hosted many neighbors and friends at its annual Halloween fun fest. As ever, the children showed delight in the Trunk-or-Treat destinations and games, engendering another memorable time for the young-at-heart. Families moved about the parking lot lined with cars with Halloween-style decorated trunks, collecting candy and playing games. OCU students, staff, and faculty enjoy bringing this happy and safe experience to the Pickaway County community

The OCU Music Department welcomes Dr. Dione Bennett as its newest adjunct voice and choral faculty member. Dr. Bennett brings to her position a background in classical singing and gospel music, a deep commitment to Christ, and a love for vocal instruction.Her voice has been heard in operas, recitals, and oratorios both nationwide and internationally. Ohio Christian University (OCU) announced that the Miriam Ruggles Adkins Foundation of Pickaway County has awarded OCU a grant in order to support the concert activities of the university. Violist Ken Matsuda (member of the Columbus Symphony) and his wife Tanya will be presenting a lecture/recital of works for viola and piano by composers from various countries around the world.
