Ohio Christian University celebrates having 3,000 students enrolled in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. The AGS program with a convenient one night a week schedule, online options, and affordable tuition has made college a possibility for many adults.“Reaching 3000 AGS students is the culmination of a lot of hard work, dedication, and prayer,” said Silvia Lucaschi-Decker, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing. “This milestone could not have been possible without our efficient recruitment and student services teams led by knowledgeable and caring leaders.”This academic year, the AGS program began offering Master of Business Administration, Master of Management, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees."As we move into the future, we are committed to continued innovation regarding the academic programs and delivery methods we use in preparing adult and online students for the workforce needs of 2013 and beyond,” said Dr. Tim Eades, Vice President for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. “Additionally, we plan to enhance all facets of student services to ensure increasing student satisfaction and graduation."While growth and innovation remain vital, OCU remains fully committed to its biblical background, maintaining all requirements for its accreditation with the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Students in the AGS program come from various religious and non-religious backgrounds to further their careers and take a significant core of Bible and theology classes in every program. OCU leaders hope that students through their education can come to realize the importance of Jesus Christ in their lives.“It is my desire to continue to see enrollment growth in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies which ultimately translates into more lives touched for Christ,” Lucaschi-Decker said.Christina Seawell, a student studying Substance Abuse Counseling in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, has experienced that transformation."The Lord brought me back to where I belong,” Seawell said. “The professors at Ohio Christian are my wings helping me to fly towards my degree and my life with God.”With a heritage dating back to 1948, Ohio Christian University offers a complete education that develops students intellectually, professionally, and spiritually. OCU offers degree programs designed to equip students to become leaders in their careers, communities, families, and in the world. Students enrolled in OCU’s traditional undergraduate program attend classes at its main campus in Circleville, Ohio. OCU’s Adult and Graduate Studies program offers 12 campus locations in the surrounding region as well as online degree programs.
