Reunion 2022 to Culminate with OCU Night at Mount of Praise

Ohio Christian University alumni, their family and friends are invited to
Reunion2022: an all-day event on Saturday, June 25. Through alumni athletic
games, class reunions, our Trailblazer Celebration and dinner, our goal is to
build and cultivate stronger alumni engagement and relationships throughout
the OCU community. The evening will culminate with OCU Night at Mount of
Praise followed by our annual Ice Cream Social.

Convert” to its Circleville Campus. There will be one show only, on
January 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center
(MPAC). This Fellowship for Performing Arts production has toured the United
States from New York to California and played on campuses such as Princeton,
Vanderbilt, Wheaton, UNC-Chapel Hill, and many other esteemed institutions of

carols. Conductor Ron Jenkins will lead the Columbus Symphony in
performances of “Winter Wonderland,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,”
“Sleigh Ride,” “All I Want for Christmas is You,” and many more.

Ohio Christian University held its first ever Summer Celebration Picnic on
Friday, July 16, 2021. This was a time for OCU Alumni, donor partners and
community members to get together and enjoy Food, Friends and Fellowship. In
spite of some scattered storms, many people of all ages gathered together.
OCU’s on-site dining service, Simply Delicious by Hallmark, provided a
wonderful picnic dinner, while guests enjoyed the music ministry of The Lore
Family (Portsmouth, OH) and Richard Jordan (Nashville, TN).
University faculty and staff members also stayed for the evening event.

30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament Raises Over $40,000 for Students

Ohio Christian University's 30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament was held
on Saturday, June 19th, at the Pickaway Country Club Golf Course. Four-person
teams enjoyed a round of golf, raising over $40,000 to fund scholarships for
current students. These OCU Scholarships are awarded to current campus
students each year at the Annual Scholarship Banquet.
"The annual OCU golf tournament is one of our major fundraising events for
student scholarships – and is also a great way to connect with donors who
love golf and love our students", explained OCU President Dr. Jon Kulaga.

Mark Lee Performs on Campus

Mark Lee caught the attention of Ohio Christian University and the
surrounding community with his witty sense of humor and passion for sharing
Christ with others. Lee is a founding member and guitarist for popular
Christian band Third Day. During his “An Evening with Mark Lee” concert
on Sept. 16, Lee shared his music as well as stories from his own life.
During the concert, Lee shared a part of his testimony from his recent book
“Hurt Road.” Lee told the audience how his leg was badly injured as a
result of an accident with a truck. It was during this down time as his leg
was healing

Ohio Christian University will host the 7th annual Josias Rodriguez 5k
Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12. The event is held in honor of Josias
Rodriguez, a student who tragically lost his life in a hiking incident.
Josias was known for his passion for Christ and for how he inspired the
people around him.
“Today, Josias’ example is one that has laid the foundation for future
students to pursue their dreams of being in ministry and an example that
reminds us of the race that we must also finish,” said Nancy Wilcox, a
close friend of Josias. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Josias

Evening with Mark Lee,” organized by Living by Faith Ministries. Lee is a
founding member and guitarist for popular Christian rock band Third Day. The
concert will be taking place on Sept. 16 from 7:00-8:30 pm, with doors
opening at 6:00.
Lee will perform songs from Third Day and his album Unshakeable Heart. He
will also share about his book, “Hurt Road,” in which he writes about the

Campus Hosting 26th Annual Quilt Show

Ohio Christian University is delighted to welcome the Goodtime Quilters Guild
to campus for the fourth year in a row. The guild will be holding their 26th
annual Quilt Show in the Maxwell Center on August 1-3. One of the organizers
and president of the guild Judy Clifton expects the show to attract over
1,300 guests.
“The quilt show is something we do to be an entertainment and to show what
we do,” Clifton said. “We’ll hang 180 to 200 quilts. The talent of
these ladies is just phenomenal, they just do fabulous work.”
The show is the 145-member guild’s biggest event of the year. It
