The 2018 Homecoming Weekend celebrates the 70th anniversary of the school with alumni of Ohio Christian University (Mount of Praise Bible College 1948-1954, Circleville Bible College 1954-2006).
Our “A Future with a History” theme highlights the importance of recognizing who we are and acknowledging from where we come.
The gathering, supported by the Alumni Association and Student Government Association, builds on our evolving traditions. Highlights include:
Follow runners, leading the Torch Run and Parade, carrying a trailblazing torch that represents the Light that God through Christ brings into the world.
Participate in the Scholarship Golf Tournament and support student scholars through an 18-hole scramble with lunch and prizes.
Catch up with former players and classmates at the Men's and Women’s Alumni Basketball Games.
Join the Josias Rodriguez 5K Run and Walk to raise money for the Josias Rodriguez Ministry Scholarship Fund.
Breakfast with Departments is for networking and hearing alumni share their accomplishments, expertise, and advice.
Attend the Legacy Chapel worship service with alumnus and new CCCU General Superintendent Mike Holbrook.
Watch the Soccer Games and Crowning Homecoming King and Queen where the Trailblazers face Carlow University’s Celtics and the Student Government Association crowns Homecoming King and Queen.
Attend the Presidential Awards ceremony where President Kulaga presents new awards for Alumni of the Year, Young Alumni of the Year, Ministry Impact, and Faculty Member of the Year. Three alumni and one celebrated faculty member are being recognized. They are being singled out for their accomplishments in supporting the University’s mission of preparing students to serve effectively in the church and society.
Awardees met these criteria: 1) successful in their field, 2) respected and influential among peers, and 3) give back in time, talents, or treasure. They are:
Alumni of the Year - Mike Tipton ’04
Young Alumni of the Year – Taylor Prusinksi ’14
