

The Alumni Association wants to thank everyone who participated in Homecoming 2014 and helped make the weekend such a great success!The festivities kicked-off with the Alumni Chapel on Thursday, October 2rd. Worship was led by Jake Marburger ('12), Mike Farrell ('12), Amanda Patrick ('11), and Trent Thompson (2010-12) and the chapel speaker was Dr. Joe Boysel (‘98). Later in the day students celebrated at a pep rally, followed by the Annual Torch Run through Downtown Circleville.The 23rd Annual Ohio Christian University and Linking Legacies golf tournament was a great success on Friday, October 3rd, as over 140 alumni and friends raised over $10,000 in support of student scholarships. In the evening, both current and past students gathered for the 8th Annual Gil Conley Homecoming Gospel Concert featuring the musical talents of The Collingsworth Family, Greater Vision, and The Talleys.Saturday morning over 80 participants came out to support the Josias Rodriguez Ministry Scholarship by running/walking in the 2nd Annual Run for Rodriguez 5K. The all-trail course and fall weather made for a scenic and memorable run to honor the life and legacy of our very first Homecoming King.This year the OCU baseball team got down to business and claimed the win over the alumni team in the Annual Alumni Baseball Game with a final score of 4-2.Current students and alumni enjoyed food and fellowship at the tailgating picnic, while the kids played on the inflatables.Then, in front of the enthusiastic homecoming crowd, the Men's Soccer team ousted visiting rival Kentucky Christian University with a 3-1 win. During halftime David Holt and Haley Shank were presented as the 2014 Homecoming King and Queen along with the entire Homecoming Court which included Alex McCrary, Katie Keep, Oscar Castro, Lyndsey Haas, Eli Prosper, Jazzmin Poole, Jacob Gideon, Natasha Hudnell, Prince Anokwah, and Aubri Paugh.The culmination of the homecoming weekend was the 3rd Annual Legacy Chapel held in Detty Chapel, and featuring the music of Matthew and Megan Harshbarger ('14), Audrey Grabbins ('92) and band, the OCU Chorale, and current traveling group Ablaze. Chase Smith ('09) was the master-of-ceremonies for the service with special guest speaker Dr. Keith Grove ('75). All in attendance were blessed with God’s overwhelming presence.Once again a sincere thank you to ALL who made Homecoming 2014 possible. It was an unforgettable weekend and we are excited for next year!

January 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center
(MPAC). This Fellowship for Performing Arts production has toured the United

Ohio Christian University held its first ever Summer Celebration Picnic on
Friday, July 16, 2021. This was a time for OCU Alumni, donor partners and
community members to get together and enjoy Food, Friends and Fellowship. In
spite of some scattered storms, many people of all ages gathered together.
OCU’s on-site dining service, Simply Delicious by Hallmark, provided a
wonderful picnic dinner, while guests enjoyed the music ministry of The Lore
Family (Portsmouth, OH) and Richard Jordan (Nashville, TN).
University faculty and staff members also stayed for the evening event.

30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament Raises Over $40,000 for Students

Ohio Christian University's 30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament was held
on Saturday, June 19th, at the Pickaway Country Club Golf Course. Four-person
teams enjoyed a round of golf, raising over $40,000 to fund scholarships for
current students. These OCU Scholarships are awarded to current campus
students each year at the Annual Scholarship Banquet.
"The annual OCU golf tournament is one of our major fundraising events for
student scholarships – and is also a great way to connect with donors who
love golf and love our students", explained OCU President Dr. Jon Kulaga.

Homecoming Celebration Hosts Warm Reception Despite Cold Day

Ohio Christian University’s Homecoming and Family Day 2019 welcomed over
400 alumni and their family members home on Oct. 12. The atmosphere was warm
and lively despite the chilly fall weather that forced many of the events
inside.
The day started early with 74 participants shrugging off temperatures in the
mid-40’s as they ran or walked in the 7th annual Josias Rodriguez 5k
Run/Walk. The event is held in memory of a much-loved ministry student who
tragically lost his life in a hiking accident. Josias Rodriguez’s mom spoke
briefly at the start of the race with his dad firing the
