Ohio Christian University hosted a capacity crowd that came to see Christian music artist Hollyn in their new Ministry & Performing Arts Center on Monday evening, December 18th. The event sold out a couple of weeks before the concert. Holly Miller (Hollyn) is a local girl who wants to give back to her community, this concert was one way she could do so, by donating her time and talent, and requesting that all ticket proceeds be divided between three local ministries.
The three ministries that benefitted from the concert were Pike Christian Academy (PCA) in Waverly, Ohio, Christian Union Campground in Greenfield, Ohio and Eastern Local Schools in Beaver, Ohio. Holly shared a vivid memory from when she attended PCA as a child. At five years of age, she received Christ because of the faithful presentation of the Gospel by one of her teachers.
In addition, Ohio Christian University Admissions helped host the event and made several scholarships available to concert-goers, including a $12,000 scholarship that was awarded to one guest.
Radio personality Todd Amlin from 104.9 The River, and former OCU student, served as Master of Ceremonies, and kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.
Holly performed some fan favorites, shared some seasonal songs, and captivated the packed house with songs and with testimony.
