Follow Christ, Lead the Way

Ohio Christian's Drake Dickerson (JR/Lancaster, OH) qualified and competed at the NAIA Indoor National Meet in the Men's Mile Run this past week. Drake finished 14th in the Nation.

"Overall, Drake competed hard and ran a tactically smart race in the Men's Mile Prelim," said Head Coach Tim Sykes, "With this being his first time competing on this stage, nerves were high and unfortunately he didn't have his normal close over the last two laps. This was a great learning experience for future Championships and we're confident he'll come back stronger from this experience. The OCU community and T&F family are all proud of Drake, his accomplishments, and the way in which he demonstrated a Champions of Character mindset this season. The team will move into the Outdoor T&F season now with the first potential competition date being March 20th. Lastly, the team would like to thank Dave Bireline, our OCU administration, and Coy Blair at The Chieftain Center for their support in helping us move forward with a successful Indoor Track & Field season."
