

Ohio Christian University (OCU) is excited to announce that it has been awarded a grant that will enable OCU to double the capacity of its Internet connection. The increase will benefit all students in their educational pursuits. In this current Digital Age, the Internet is utilized in all aspects of the learning process. It provides a powerful source of information as well as a means for communicating and collaborating with peers and faculty. The grant is intended to assist with providing the tools needed to spur innovation and prepare students for the workforce. The grant is part of an initiative supported by Governor Kasich that seeks to expand the state-wide network infrastructure (https://oar.net/network/100gbps) to foster economic growth and innovation in the state of Ohio.

Ohio Christian University (OCU) is pleased to announce a new chaplain who
will serve students in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Pastor M.
R. McCrary (Pastor Mac) hails from a small community in southern Indiana,
where he began in ministry as a teenager. By age 19, he had answered the call
to pastoral ministry and has since given 55 years of his life to pastoral and
evangelical service. Pastor Mac notes the highlight of his ministry has been

Ohio Christian University recently launched a Storytellers Guild at the
Circleville campus. The Guild is made up of staff, faculty, community
members, and students who believe in the power, and the wonder of
storytelling. The group was started to promote the art of storytelling,
and to foster the growth and development of storytellers. OCU’s
Storytelling Guild is not just for kids, or those studying to work with
kids. The idea of storytelling is beneficial for all majors at the

OCU Approved to Offer Master of Business Administration

Ohio Christian University (OCU) received word that it is now approved to
offer the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management.
This was the final approval required from the Higher Learning Commission, the
regional accreditation organization. Beginning in August, these programs will
be offered through OCU’s convenient College of Adult and Graduate Studies
with the option of taking online or one-night-a-week evening classes.Dr. Tim
Eades, Vice President for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, stated,
“We determined the need for these programs by surveying

The Ohio Christian University Student Government Association is proud to
announce the Senior Class of 2012 gift to the university. The Senior Class
Council has purchased a bronze plaque of the University Seal to be placed in
the Walk of Legacy. The Student Government Association Executive Council
found it appropriate to have the bronze plaque as a part of the Walk of
Legacy because the senior class has left an imprint where their legacy will

Ohio Christian University (OCU) has received a $60,000 grant from an Ohio
Foundation to develop a community garden project. Ohio Christian University
agricultural and intercultural studies students will be hired to work on the
project. The primary goal of this project is to train students to grow food
for themselves and the world so they, in turn, can teach others. The old
proverb, “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish
and you’ll feed him for a lifetime,” is the focus of this grant. Local
