CIRCLEVILLE, OH - The Lady Trailblazers had sort of a Fall Senior Day match yesterday as senior Rebecca Strawser played her last ever home match in the blue and white. Even though this may have been her last, it surely was one to end on as the Blazers swepted the University of Miami - Middletown 4 to 0.

There was only one doubles match that took place and that was between OCU's Kiley Staley/Rebecca Strawser duo and the team of Lulu Orozco and Mika Roseberry from Miami. Kiley and Becca took care of the Orozco/Roseberry team quite easily with a score of 6-1.

In the singles for the day, Kiley took on Miami's Lulu, beating her 7-5, 6-3 with the clinching point. Becca Strawser also took care of business against Roseberry 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 10-3. Gabriella Egbert finished off the sweep with a 6-4, 6-4 win against Thunderhawk Caley Shane.

With his second win of the day, Coach Wells had this to say about his girls, "Our ladies had a nice win with the sweep today and I'm glad we could get a win for Becca's senior match. Kiley and Becca were the most aggressive I've ever seen them play as a doubles team and took control early. Miami - Middletown was very consistent in singles and all of the singles matches were absolute battles. Gabriella took control late in both of sets to edge out a win. Both Kiley and Becca had to fight through a lot of adversity to win their singles matches. Especially Becca with having to play a 7 point tiebreaker to win the first set and a 10 point super tiebreaker to win the third set and to clinch the sweep."

With this win under their belt, the Lady Trailblazers look forward as they prepare for their match against Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro, KY with a match time slated for 3pm EST.
