Lady Trailblazers Win 54-53 at Clark State

The OCU women's basketball team pulled out its biggest win of the season so far on Monday night when they traveled to Clark State Community College. They fought back from a 12 point halftime deficit, after starting point guard Ande Renihan went down with an ankle injury. Led by Michel Hughes' 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, the Lady Trailblazers took the lead on two made free throws with 1:00 remaining in the game. OCU's tenacious defense held Clark State (6-1 overall record) scoreless in the last two minutes. Several players stepped up their game after Renihan's injury, with four players scoring in double figures. Brittany Martin scored 10 points, pulled down 5 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists. Sarah Peters finished with a double double, 11 points and 10 points. Rosalyn Fleming added 10 points.

The Ohio Christian University women's basketball team is currently 5-3 and will face OU-Zanesville on Saturday.
