Ohio Christian University was recently ranked as offering one of the best online baccalaureate programs in Logistics Management. The university was ranked 8th out of 15 by the Online Schools Report (OSR), which serves as a resource for students pursuing online programs.
According to OSR, their rankings are based on six data points: three schoolwide and three program-specific. For schoolwide, OSR uses student satisfaction, admission rates, and the number of programs the school offers online. For program-specific, OSR checks the median debt of graduates from that program, how many degrees are offered within that program’s umbrella department, and what percentage of students at that school graduated from that department.
A degree in Business with a concentration in Logistics Management prepares graduates for careers in purchasing and supplier management; manufacturing logistics; transportation management; inventory, distribution, and warehouse management; information management; and customer service management. Graduates can find jobs working for government agencies, large corporations, or private businesses.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 5% growth in employment for logisticians due to the growing need for logistics in the transportation of goods in a global economy. The current median wage is $74,600. The strong growth along with a high earning potential makes pursuing a degree in this field a sound investment.
According to Dr. Kelvin Lee, “Unlike other logistics programs, our Logistics Management program establishes a solid foundation for the integration of faith and learning in Supply Chain Management that offers transformative thinking and practice in a way that clearly points to the glory of God as the ultimate goal for all education. This reflects Colossians 3:23-24 which states, ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.’" Dr. Lee serves as an Affiliate Faculty member at Ohio Christian University where he uses his 30 years of production and inventory management experience to bring real-world situations to the online classroom.
Ohio Christian offers affordable online degrees in Business with 10 concentrations to choose from with small class sizes with an 11:1 student to faculty ratio. A concentration in Logistics Management will prepare students to have a global impact in the field of business with a Christian worldview.
