This summer, Ohio Christian University is offering summer courses that will help K-12 and undergraduate instructors work towards a graduate degree. The institute gives instructors the opportunity to earn degrees and gain knowledge in a shorter period of time.
Each course lasts for six weeks and counts as three credit hours. There will be two separate six-week terms throughout the summer. The cost of these graduate level classes is $990 per course. There is a simple application and approval process for the program.
The University will also be offering special topic classes that count as one credit hour. These classes only last for a few days, and cost $155 per course. It is not mandatory to apply for a degree to be eligible for the special topic courses. If someone meets course admission requirements, then they are able to take the course just to expand their knowledge.
The summer institute will also encourage current instructors to update or add to their current credentials. William Harle, Academic Director, stated, “The original creation of the Summer Institute was completed with the ideal that Ohio Christian University would become an institution that actively recruits and trains current and future instructors to influence their students through a biblical worldview.”
