Ohio Christian University will host the 7th annual Josias Rodriguez 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 12. The event is held in honor of Josias Rodriguez, a student who tragically lost his life in a hiking incident. Josias was known for his passion for Christ and for how he inspired the people around him.
“Today, Josias’ example is one that has laid the foundation for future students to pursue their dreams of being in ministry and an example that reminds us of the race that we must also finish,” said Nancy Wilcox, a close friend of Josias. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Josias Rodriguez Scholarship Fund which supports ministry students at Ohio Christian, helping current students to finish the race.
Starting and finishing near the University’s Detty Chapel, the course will take participants through campus and Roundtown Trail. The race will be professionally timed with runners receiving a technical T-shirt. Snacks will also be provided at the end of the race.
The race will begin at 8:30 am, with packet pick up beginning at 7:30 in the Ministry & Performing Arts Center. To find out more about Josias' legacy, click here. The entry fee for the event is $25. Participants can register at www.OhioChristian.edu/5k.

Reunion 2022 to Culminate with OCU Night at Mount of Praise

Ohio Christian University alumni, their family and friends are invited to
Reunion2022: an all-day event on Saturday, June 25. Through alumni athletic
games, class reunions, our Trailblazer Celebration and dinner, our goal is to
build and cultivate stronger alumni engagement and relationships throughout
the OCU community. The evening will culminate with OCU Night at Mount of
Praise followed by our annual Ice Cream Social.

Convert” to its Circleville Campus. There will be one show only, on
January 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Ministry and Performing Arts Center

“Sleigh Ride,” “All I Want for Christmas is You,” and many more.

Ohio Christian University held its first ever Summer Celebration Picnic on
Friday, July 16, 2021. This was a time for OCU Alumni, donor partners and
community members to get together and enjoy Food, Friends and Fellowship. In
spite of some scattered storms, many people of all ages gathered together.
OCU’s on-site dining service, Simply Delicious by Hallmark, provided a
wonderful picnic dinner, while guests enjoyed the music ministry of The Lore
Family (Portsmouth, OH) and Richard Jordan (Nashville, TN).
University faculty and staff members also stayed for the evening event.

30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament Raises Over $40,000 for Students

Ohio Christian University's 30th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament was held
on Saturday, June 19th, at the Pickaway Country Club Golf Course. Four-person
teams enjoyed a round of golf, raising over $40,000 to fund scholarships for
current students. These OCU Scholarships are awarded to current campus
students each year at the Annual Scholarship Banquet.
"The annual OCU golf tournament is one of our major fundraising events for
student scholarships – and is also a great way to connect with donors who
love golf and love our students", explained OCU President Dr. Jon Kulaga.

OCU's 8th Annual Christmas Program ~ A Gift to the Community

Ohio Christian University hosted its eighth Annual Festival of Carols and
Messiah on Saturday, December 7, at 7:00 pm, in the beautifully decorated
Maxwell Center. Guests were treated to the artistry of the OCU Chorale,
joined by members of the Circleville Community Choir and an excellent
40-piece orchestra including OCU students, faculty members and area
musicians. In the spirit of season, the Festival was the university’s gift
to the community with one request. Guests were asked to bring canned food
items to share with local ministries who support needy families in the

On March 23rd of this year Ohio Christian University dedicated the 30,000
square foot, $6 million Dean and Diana Hickman Student Center. The Center,
which includes a cafeteria, café, bookstore, intramural gym space, game
room, classrooms and offices, was built to help support and develop the
rapidly growing student body at OCU.The building is named for Dean and Diana
Hickman in gratitude for their very generous support of the university and

The second annual Lest We Forget ceremony remembering the victims of the 9/11
attacks will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 in the Maxwell Center at Ohio
Christian University.“The city leaders and I have all come together because
we wanted to honor first responders and the military on the anniversary of
9/11,” said Pastor Timothy Throckmorton, organizer for the event.The
