Sixty faculty, staff, and students, including President Dr. Jon Kulaga and his wife Lena, participated in the Circleville, Ohio, 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, one of over 600 similar events held annually nationwide.
Ohio Christian University (OCU), the top local sponsor, was tasked with underwriting the spinning flowers along the route, earning the title Promise Garden Sponsor. Team captain, Kelsey Cutright, Director of Student Life at OCU, had this to say of the event, “It was an upbeat atmosphere. There was exciting music, and everyone walked in a long group. For the OCU crew, it was cool to see the sea of blue t-shirts walking along the path with their varying colors of spinning Promise Flowers.”
A little over $68,600 was raised for the Circleville event. Team OCU did their part in raising $1,330 of their $2,000 goal, but fundraising can go through the end of 2018. If you would like to help us reach our goal, you can click here and help push us across the finish line!
The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
