Over 75 years ago, a dream was ignited in a small camp meeting in Circleville, Ohio – that
dream was a college for the purpose of educating clergy for the Churches of Christ in Christian
Union. Today, Ohio Christian University (OCU) proudly stands hand in hand with the Churches
of Christ in Christian Union to celebrate the 107th annual Mount of Praise Camp Meeting. Every
year our campus eagerly anticipates a week of revival and reunions that comes with such a week
as this!

OCU Night at Mount of Praise has become a cherished tradition unlike any other. It's a night
brimming with vision, as the director of the new School of World Ministry Dr. Steve McGuire
articulates, “OCU does not just have a memorable past, and not just a working present but a
bright future” as TWO new schools of study were announced during this significant annual event.
It's an evening of inspiration, highlighted by Spencer Crane, a 2024 OCU graduate,
reflecting on his transformative student journey, “I found God here and I will continue to serve
him every day. I am blessed to be staying around OCU while getting my master’s degree. My
goal is to give students the opportunity to find Christ and never look back. I believe that is why
the Lord led me to OCU.” And a time of celebration as we come together as one body to
remember the uncountable lives that have been impacted from that tiny dream.

The service commenced with over 522 attendees joining in worship, led by OCU's own Worship
Collective—a diverse group of OCU students—and featured a unique Alumni (and friends)
Choir under the direction of Steve Morrison. From spirited worship to a profound message, the
evening resonated with God's presence and hope for what is to come. And as tradition holds, the
night ended as the OCU community joined together under the tent for a very special treat, Root
Beer Floats (Dr. Smith’s favorite).

OCU Night 2024 was most certain one that will not soon be forgot!
