Ohio Christian University’s Drama Team and Performing Arts Committee will be presenting the university’s first full-length musical production, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, this April. Showtimes will be Friday, April 8th at 7:00 PM and Saturday, April 9th at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. This production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame incorporates the original Disney songs from the animated film and many new songs, while also returning to Victor Hugo’s classic novel.
New to the Ohio Christian stage is Nathan Strawser in the lead role of Quasimodo with Mac Callahan also as Quasimodo for the Saturday matinee performance. Also starring in their first OCU production, Alyna Whitmire will be performing as the strong-willed Esmeralda and Elijah Newland as the dashing Captain Phoebus. Returning to the stage, alum Davi Da Silva (The Giver) will be playing the ever-entertaining Clopin, and Benjamin Woodland (Little Women, Dark Road) will be taking on Disney’s darkest villain: Claude Frollo.
Come out and support Ohio Christian’s drama team, chorale, alum, and community members as they bring to life this monumental tale through beautiful ballads like “God Help the Outcasts” and colorful choreography in “Topsy Turvy.” You won’t want to miss this powerhouse production!
