Ohio Christian University Announces Faith & Liberty Talk Show Premiere with New York Times Bestseller Dr. Larry Schweikart
Ohio Christian University announced today the broadcast of the premier for the Faith and Liberty Talk Show, hosted by former congressional candidate, Fortune 100 top executive, and Chair of the Department of Business and Government for Ohio Christian University, Dave Garrison. The show’s first guest will be with New York Times bestselling author Dr. Larry Schweikart.
The Faith and Liberty Talk Show – Where Faith and Freedom Meet is a podcast production of Ohio Christian University’s Business & Government Department. The talk show will highlight issues related to Christians engaging in the political and civil arena.
Guests will include political and spiritual leaders, along with experts in many fields related to faith and liberty. Some of the first guests, who will be interviewed by Dave Garrison, are Steve Munisteri, Chairman of the Texas Republican Party; Bob Barber, CEO and Founder of Christian Financial Association of America; Dr. Juliette Madrigal, the president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, and Stephen Mansfield, author of Lincoln’s Battle with God: A President’s Struggle with Faith and What it Meant for America.
The Faith and Liberty Talk Show’s first guest is Dr. Larry Schweikart, a regular on "Fox and Friends" morning show, has also appeared on television and radio shows as diverse as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck to NPR, Tavis Smiley, and Al-Jazeera Television. In 2010, his book, Seven Events that Made America America, from which the screenplay for "Rockin' the Wall" was taken, appeared and made the New York Times bestseller list. In October 2012, the first volume of his new two-volume history of the world, A Patriot’s History of the Modern World From America’s Exceptional Ascent to the Atomic Bomb appeared. He is finishing the second volume now, which will be out this fall. His first film, Rockin' the Wall, the story of rock music and the Iron Curtain, appeared on PBS in November, and he is in the process of completing a sequel, Other Walls 2 Fall about music in other oppressed parts of the world.
The weekly format is Dave Garrison interviewing significant authorities in the area of faith, politics, the economy, finance, government, business, education, medicine, and other areas of interest to Christians as they engage our civil society with a Christian and biblical worldview.
Every Friday, a new Faith and Liberty Talk Show will be published on iTunes and can be accessed directly at www.faithandliberty.org where people can find information, articles, and links related that week’s talk show. All of the talk shows are archived and made available to listeners free of charge.
