More than 700 community members turned out for this year's Festival of Carols, a new attendance record. Attendees also donated a record-breaking amount of food to Pickaway County Emergency Clearinghouse, a local food pantry — more than 1,000 pounds!
Thank you to all those who attended and participated. This event would not be possible without your continued support.

Ohio Christian University will host its tenth annual Festival of Carols and Messiah concert on December 5, 2015, in the beautifully decorated Maxwell Center. Guests will be treated to the artistry of the OCU Chorale, joined by members of the Circleville Community Choir and an excellent 40-piece orchestra that will include students, faculty members, and local musicians.
In the spirit of the season, the event is the university’s gift to the community with one request: guests are asked to bring canned food items to donate to local ministries who support needy families. Those who arrive early will enjoy a prelude by the orchestra, along with other musicians and university ensembles.
Dr. Dione Bennett, Director of the OCU Chorale and Community Choir, will lead the evening’s music, which will feature festive orchestrations of well-loved Christmas music, beautiful acapella numbers, and Christmas selections from Handel’s Messiah.
Dr. Rodney Sones says, "Once again, the OCU Chorale is enjoying a year of growth. We have had tremendous fun preparing this year's concert. Community participation continues to bring many wonderful singers. We hope the concert is a blessing to all who will join us to celebrate the Christmas season."
