Ohio Christian University's Religion Department will host a presentation and discussion on “Divine Healing” on February 28, at 7:00 pm in OCU's Maxwell Library.
Presenter Dr. Edward Williamson is author of No Other Name, a book that chronicles his late wife Loretta’s battle with cancer. Dr. Williamson is father of OCU Religion Professor Ben Williamson.
Dr. Williamson is General Superintendent of the Evangelical Methodist Church and chair of the Board of Trustees for OMS International. The Evangelical Methodist Church has churches in Southeast Asia, Europe, Mexico, and Canada, in addition to those in the United States.
All freshman students enrolled in the Department's "Worldviews" course are required to read this book and write a reflection paper that wrestles with the question: “If God is all powerful and good, why do bad things happen to good people?”
No Other Name is a powerful testament to God’s power to rescue us from anything that stands in the way of his purposes for our lives, and his comfort and love when the moment comes when we must say "Good Bye" to those closest to our hearts until Christ returns.
Very few people go through life without being touched by cancer, whether they experience the diagnosis or someone they love does. Dr. Williamson has walked through this experience while allowing his faith to grow. He has a pastor’s heart, knows how to intercede for others, and would be happy to pray for you. He believes God still heals today and has witnessed it.
All students are encouraged to attend and meet Dr. Williamson. The Circleville community is cordially invited to attend.
No Other Name may be ordered at www.noothername2013.com.
