Professor Monty Lobb traveled to Kiev, Ukraine to speak at the 500th anniversary celebration of the Reformation in early November. In greeting to assembly, he spoke about the importance of integrating Christian character into personal relationships to build better community. He also presented on the value of a Christian education in a program session.
For two days Ukrainians listened to pastors, members of parliament, cabinet ministers, and foreign guests share and worshipped, led by praise bands from across Ukraine and the Ukrainian National Symphony and Chorus.
The Association of Ukrainian Protestant Churches and Ukraine’s Parliament sponsored the event and invited Lobb to speak. Churches in Ukraine have been celebrating the Reformation’s 500th anniversary all year. The event was inspired from 300,000 people flooding Kiev’s main square to commemorate their 1st national Thanksgiving.
OCU’s participation has sparked conversation about how OCU can collaborate with Ukrainian Christians in government, education, ministry, business, and law enforcement to adopt best practices and character formation. Now interest is expressed in partnering with a Ukrainian university for a study abroad program, joint degrees, and opportunity for Ukrainian students to study at OCU.

2019 Business Competition Gives Students Real World Experience

On April 9th, Ohio Christian University’s School of Business and Government
hosted the annual awards banquet for its Business Plan Competition. Five
finalists in the competition were awarded recognition as well as cash awards
for their business plans. This annual competition gives Business students a
chance to put into practice what they are being taught in classrooms. Its
purpose is to give students a real-world opportunity to develop a business
plan and present it to a panel of distinguished businesspersons.

On Friday, March 8th, State Representative Rick Carfagna (Chair, Finance
Subcommittee on Higher Education) visited Ohio Christian University (OCU). He
was welcomed to the president’s office by Dr. Jon Kulaga (President), Ted
Perry (Chief Financial Officer) and Craig Brown (Chief Relationship
Officer) where the group discussed multiple partnerships related to
micro-credentialing, entrepreneurship and workforce development for regional

OCU Approved to Offer Master of Business Administration

Ohio Christian University (OCU) received word that it is now approved to
offer the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management.
This was the final approval required from the Higher Learning Commission, the
regional accreditation organization. Beginning in August, these programs will
be offered through OCU’s convenient College of Adult and Graduate Studies
with the option of taking online or one-night-a-week evening classes.Dr. Tim
Eades, Vice President for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies, stated,

A group of OCU Business students and two professors visited Wall Street and
the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) last spring 2012. Students toured the NYSE
and Wall Street area and were able to be on the floor with the traders and
see firsthand what happens inside the exchange.OCU’s Business & Government

CIRCLEVILLE - Five finalists in the 2012 Business Plan Competition at Ohio
Christian University (OCU) were honored Monday evening with awards and a
dinner at OCU’s Science and Logistics Center.The students involved in the
voluntary competition are a part of the university’s Business and
Government Department. To participate in the competition, students had to
develop a business plan and present it to a panel of judges.The first place
winner of $4,000 was Michael Farrell, a senior, for his presentation on his
