Students started the new semester with three days of revival services in the Ministry & Performing Arts Center in the mornings and in Detty Chapel in the evenings. Danielle Douglas '22, Worship Leadership major with an minor is Psychology, who also leads the Wednesday Chapel Team and OCU Worship Collective, said regarding revival, "The atmosphere of revival is something I have always looked forward to each year. The anticipation and willingness to learn and grow with each other is such a beautiful thing to behold."
The theme for fall revival was Being in Fellowship with the Father. Services were led by Gerald Murphy and worship was led by OCU alumna Makayla Briggs, along with OCU Chapel Teams and OCU Worship Collective. The time was filled with scripture, songs of praise, and worship, prayer and intercession, and words of encouragement and a charge for students, faculty, and staff to move forward in the prophetic instruction the Lord has given us to Abide in Christ and remain obedient and ready for what He calls us to do.
The Holy Spirit was definitely present and moved in a mighty way in all of the revival services. Douglas' summed up her thoughts of Fall Revival '21 saying, "This year, it was an honor to see how to open Ohio Christian University has become with their worship and understanding that God loves each of them and calls them to worship as an individual, not the neighbor next to them. It is a process of maturing, but after 4 years of being a student here at Ohio Christian University, I have seen a drastic shift of the intentionality of thanksgiving to our Lord in this revival.”
