Residential Undergraduates: Become a Student Ambassador!

A select number of Ohio Christian University students are eligible to participate in the new Student Ambassador program where they can share their love of OCU with prospective students and families.

Selected students will represent and promote the University while giving campus tours, assisting with our OCU Preview Days and other events, traveling to off-campus concerts and promo events, and informing prospective students and their parents about campus life.

Membership in the program is limited. Positions are given on a semester by semester basis and require a commitment that entire semester. To be eligible, students must have completed at least one semester at OCU, submit a letter of recommendation, and complete an application packet via an online webform.

In addition to being in good academic and social standing, membership requires the ability to speak effectively, create a positive first impression, adapt to varied situations, work well with others, show enthusiasm for OCU, be responsible and dependable, and have a sincere desire to represent OCU well.

Benefits of being a Student Ambassador include: meeting Christian service requirements, developing people and leadership skills, experiencing community involvement and service, receiving new OCU attire to wear at events, helping guide prospective students as they make their college decision, and participating in an end-of-year ambassador party.  Ambassadors gain detailed knowledge about the history of OCU and the campus.  Successful student ambassadors will add this experience to their resumes and share the reward of knowing they have contributed to a positive impact on the future of prospective students.
