Lauren (Bivens) Sisley & Sam Sisley started at OCU the same year and quickly found each other. Both were in the Teacher Education - Middle Childhood program with concentrations in Social Studies and Reading/Language Arts and graduated in May 2011. They were married June 4, 2011, a month later.
Since Sam was born and raised in England, they have made many trips there to enjoy the land and culture of Sam's heritage.
Lauren was able to procure a job at Teays Valley School District in Pickaway County the summer following her graduation. If interviewing is not nerve-wracking enough, Lauren was asked to teach a lesson to the Board of Education.
Currently, Sam is employed at Metro Early College (STEM school) teaching English and History in the Middle School. He has been there since August of 2013.
In September 2012, they were blessed with an adorable daughter, Arianna Elizabeth Sisley, to add to their family. She is such a joy to them and enjoys her share of international communication and travel to visit her grandparents in England.

from the past year for which they are particularly thankful. This practice
is a Crowley family tradition. After sharing their thankfulness, the diners
will pause for prayer before enjoying the feast.
