CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Looking to further his impact on the OCU community
following his second year on campus, Zach Maynard decided early this Spring
that he was being called to a unique position: President of Student Council.
After wrestling with the idea and lots of prayer, Maynard decided to enter
the race, leading to him being elected earlier this month. "When deciding to
run as Student Council President, I first found the idea as daunting. It was
a stomach-turning feeling that felt as if I was supposed to go after the
position, but the fear of failure was telling me to not follow

Ohio Christian Announces Steps Challenge To Student Body

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - OCU Student Intramurals has started an OCU Step Challenge
for the student body, beginning immediately and open until May 14th. If you
wish to participate you will need to: - download the count.it app
- create an account - select Ohio Christian University as the
group That's it! The app will track your steps from your phone or a fitness
watch. Steps are calculated as such: Every 10,000 steps is equivalent to 100
Count.It points. So walk/run/jog to accumulate points! Get active, get

Trailblazer Baseball Hosts Local Student Battling Cancer

CIRCLEVILLE, OH - Back in February, the Ohio Christian Baseball team helped
host a local student battling cancer in the community. Sam, who currenlty has
spinal ependymoma, came to campus on February 24th to hang out with the team
and experience a practice.

VOTE VOTE VOTE! NCCAA Logo Madness

Greenville, SC (3/20/2020): The NCCAA announces the launch of
#NCCAALogoMadness. Beginning on March 26, fans will be able to vote on
Twitter for their favorite NCCAA member school logo. All matchups have been
randomly selected, with play-in matchups getting things started. There are
eight play-in matchups, each with four schools competing. The school with the
highest percentage of votes will advance. All other matchups will only have
two schools competing.

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Following the conclusion of the 2019-20 season, Senior
Staci Pertuset (SR/West Union, OH) has been named to the NAIA All-American
Honorable Mention list, joining others from around the country. Pertuset
helped lead the Lady Trailblazers to multiple new heights during the year,
including new team records, an incredible River States Conference tournament
run, and the team's first ever appearance in the NAIA National
Tournament. At the end of the season, Pertuset's stat line spoke for itself,
as she led NAIA DII in steals per game (4.9) and total steals (158), while

Church Service Day 2018 – Goodwill Trumps Rain!

Church Service Day is an annual opportunity for Ohio Christian University
(OCU) students to practice giving back to area churches and charities through
hands-on work projects completed all on a single day!
Church Services Day 2018, undertaken on September 26, proved a worthy
addition to this traditional service-above-self event! About 400 students
lent their energies to 31 work projects in local churches, residences, and
charity organizations.
After an early breakfast, students formed into teams and received directions
to and instructions for their projects. Eager teams headed out to

When three Ohio Christian University students first considered summer job
plans, traveling to British Columbia, Canada, to work at Malibu Club, a Young
Life Youth Camp, wasn’t on their radar.
Boarding the flight across the continent, senior Amber Ginter and sophomores
Liam Benson and Benjamin Johnson took a leap of faith to see what God had in
store for them. Completing 2,650 miles of airplane, ferry, and car travel,
the students arrived at Malibu Club situated on the bank of a remote British

Samuel Church came to Ohio Christian University (OCU) looking to make a
difference. Growing up in Toledo, OH in a struggling economy, Samuel
experienced his family digging deep to overcome the challenge. “There
weren’t expectations of rising and doing anything big, but I decided not to
settle for that,” he recalls.
Samuel focused his energy and effort on athletics where he excelled, and OCU
recruited him to join the track team. When he visited the campus in
Circleville, OH, he was unsure what the future held. But, he remembers,
