MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- The Ohio Christian University (OCU) volleyball team was selected as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) River States Conference (RSC) Women's Team of Character Award winner for 2021-22. The Trailblazers' volleyball team was chosen after a vote from the RSC Champions of Character Committee.  The RSC Team of Character awards honor one men's and one women's team each year for their exemplary character and sportsmanship on the field, on campus and in the community. Teams are selected by demonstrating the NAIA's five core character values of

For the first time in school history, the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers have made an appearance in the NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup standings. This accomplishment was made possible thanks to a tremendous 2017 season by the men's and women's cross country programs. As the tragic effects of opioid addiction continue to grip the nation, in Ohio efforts to address them are well underway through initiatives by organizations such as Propel Ohio and Ohio Christian University. On Nov. 17, Teacher Education Professors Valerie Jones and Angela Flowers, along with student majors Maddy McCain and Emily Morton, attended Propel Ohio’s Collegiate Leadership Conference on the effect of poverty and the opioid crisis on Ohio youth.  They joined some 600 attendees in the University of Akron’s historic Quaker Station conference center to hear Ohio Senators Sherrod

Ohio Christian University is excited about launching a new semester of the drama ministry travel team, Living Parables.  This group is made up of 14 residential undergraduate students (two teams), including the Student Leaders Brittany Twining and Haley Fowler. The group is under the direction of Mrs. Bethany Bolin, who is a graduate of OCU and possesses many years of teaching and leading drama.   Living Parables ministers in churches, schools and youth events presenting sketches of real-life circumstances which focus on the gospel as well as moral values.

The Ohio Christian University Summer Camp Teams have now wrapped up their ministry for 2016. A group of 49 OCU students ministered at 27 camps this summer in seven different states—Ohio, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Georgia, and Indiana. The students were hand-selected through an application and interview process and received over 50 hours of training in preparation.
