For the first time in school history, the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers have made an appearance in the NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup standings. This accomplishment was made possible thanks to a tremendous 2017 season by the men's and women's cross country programs. Both teams punched their ticket to the NAIA National meet in November, which was the first national appearance for the program at the NAIA level.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA and NAIA Championships. As of the most recent rankings, Ohio Christian ranks nineteenth in the NAIA standings. The next NCAA Division I & NAIA fall standings will be released Thursday, December 14.
