Trailblazers suffer first KIAC Conference Loss

NEW ALBANY, IN – Qualifying for the conference tournament for the first time under Head Coach Casey Coons, the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers faced the # 1 seed Grenadiers of Indiana University Southeast on Wednesday in the River States Conference Quarterfinals. PITTSBURGH, PA – Following a closely contested three point victory at home earlier in the season, the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers could not buy a bucket on Saturday, as the Pioneers of Point Park University evened the season series at one a piece with a 80-46 win on Saturday. Ohio Christian's largest drought would come in the second half, as the Pioneers opened the second half strong on a 24-3 run that would distance them from their opponent. PITTSBURGH, PA – Wrapping up the regular season and looking ahead to the conference tournament, the Lady Trailblazers battled the Pioneers of Point Park University on Saturday. After defeating the Pioneers at home on Senior Night in January, Ohio Christian could not complete the season sweep in a 92-88 road loss in Pittsburgh. After a close opening quarter, the Pioneers jumped ahead in the second by using a 25-15 run to build a 12-point halftime lead. Following the break, the Lady Trailblazers responded with a run of their own, cutting the deficit to five entering the final 10 minutes

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – In a must win game, the Trailblazers of Ohio Christian found themselves in an uphill battle on Tuesday, overcoming multiple deficits to pull off a clutch comeback win over Carlow University. The win secures the Trailblazers a spot in the 2020 River States Conference Postseason Tournament, beginning February 26th.
